Bufo Experience

Traveled to Mexico in June 2024 for a personal chef experience. Excited to go cook for two people doing the Healing Frontline Heroes retreat, eye really had no set intention of sitting with any plant medicines but eye remained open as Bufo was recommended to me. My intention for the trip was to make sure that myself and the two people depending on my personal chef services to be well fed with lots of high vibe nutrients and not have to depend on any stores in Mexico.

Healing Frontline Heroes is the organization that makes this experience possible for people in America to come down and have these wonder-full plant medicine experiences. Originally created for veterans experiencing PTSD but has since grown to help many people from many walks of life.

the Seri Tribe is the tribe that all this knowledge on the scared plant medicines is being passed down from. Some of the plant medicine experiences are led by the tribe and some are led by those the tribe has passed knowledge down to: Mike (owner of Healing Frontline Heroes) and others that work with him.

When eye arrived in Mexico eye found it very interesting that these bufo frogs were quite literally coming up to my door. Not just anyone's room door, but mine... ofc..

eye ignored the 1st frog thinking it was just a silly thing that could happen to anyone / just a coincidence. Well sure enough a 2nd bufo frog came up to my door, same day, and just like the 1st it waited outside as eye open the door, not hopping away but just sitting there staring at me. That in it of itself was very intriguing and brought me to a stillness.

Then a local named Danny showed up and also recommended that Bufo would be a good experience for me. He showed me how to catch the frogs and how to hold them in a safe way where they won't slip away, but also in a way that won't hurt them. He showed where the frog contains the glands with venom / poison to deter animals from eating them. Wet, to humans or animals is very poisonous, but if extracted correctly and dried, then it becomes a wonder-full power-full heart chakra opening medicine.

Out of respect for the frogs and the culture eye won't go into specifics because my intention is not for people to read this and then go off and do all the steps by themselves. Bufo is, in my opinion and in-sperience, best done when showed how to properly hold the frog in person, how to extract and dry the medicine in person, how to store it, how to use it, and to me the most important: have the physical guidance of an experienced and trusted shaman (someone you personally trust and feel heart connected with, this is important)

When eye go to the beach with all retreat participants, my intention is just to hold space and stay in the shade, drinnk water, maybe swim a lil. eye did indeed not! stay in the shade very much at all, drank all my water, and got prob the 2nd worst sunburn of my life lol. Well. amongst all that eye told the universe, god, whatever u wanna call it: "hey if I'm supposed to try Bufo today, please just lmk. Give me a sign please, a very clear sign please. and if im not plz keep me feeling as eye am."

well man those were some magic words. Going back and forth and back and forth the shade to the ocean, swimming, floating, drinking water, meditating with my towel in the shade. All the while people are going one by one to the shamans for their bufo experience. Well, eye walked up from the beach to go to the shade like eye had been doing the whole time and as eye stand under the shade to drink water eye felt a huge wave of psychedelic-ness. If you know u know. It felt like the feeling right before u take shrooms or right after u take them. Lil wavey, tingles in the tummy. That's the best eye can explain it.

It was strong and clear and eye decided that was the sign. eye literally asked to stay feeling the same if I'm not supposed to take this medicine at this time, and asked for a clear, very clear sign if eye am being called to this medicine at this time. After going on this trip with the intention just to cook, eye immediately went up to tell them that eye was feeling called to try bufo with the shamans whenever it aligns. eye did this because eye wanted to stay open minded / eye didnt wanna psyc myself out. After eye told them, they say ok, and eye go sit down with my towl and water and wait. As eye sit down a huge wave of calm came over me. Downloads started to come in.

That I'm already on this path but that eye wasn't going as far as I'm able because of certain restriction placed on me by others and that eye had accepted or simply just restrictions eye placed on myself. The medicine very clearly downloaded to me that it was going to help with that. Funny as it may seem, it told me if eye wasn't already the "weird one" in the family, eye was gonna be now! eye didn't care, it didn't feel worrisome, it felt informative. It also very clearly downloaded to me that eye was gonna help me with not questioning myself.

For so long eye would get feelings and go against them just bc someone said some logical thing that checked out with words, but emotionally still didn't feel right. Bufo said it was gonna help me with that. in my mind, eye was like "heck ya! that's where a plethora of my problems in life have come from.. not listening to my intuition!"

oh my gosh did it! It really, really instilled my gut intuition on level infinity! That gut instinct comes in so strong now. If my gut feels some type of way = it's that type of way! I'm not invincible ofc, I'm open to being wrong, but wow am eye so great-full, beyond words honestly, for the gift Bufo has given my life. It connected me with my heart chakra in a way eye didn't even know eye needed. In a way that extremely benefits me to this day. In a way were eye could not abandon myself in ways eye so easily had before. Eye had disrespected myself and tolerated things that eye told myself were ok. And you know what? those things didn't feel ok? = and they're not ok.

A very important lesson bufo taught me was it is truly so so up to me what eye choose to subject myself to in life. Again, eye want to state the other side because anything really an happen in life. We do inevitable put up with stuff we don't particularly prefer or all out hate. My statement here is about the things we are told we have to do, "everyone does this," societal expectations... and truthfully, truthfully = if it doesn't sit right with you, opt out.

I'm not going to go into specifics because these things / choices are truly gonna vary from person to person so greatly! All is energy exchange. Some choices made to have certain freedoms / align with your heart's true feelings, your life purpose are going to have consequences (as every decision does) that may be of smaller or greater loss to one person than another.

It's so individual and all eye can say is eye recommend bufo to you if you feel like you could benefit from connecting with your heart chakra more.

Not every medicine is for every person at every time. eye like the analogy that "it takes a wound." if you dont have the wound for a cartian medicine, it doesnt have place to go and heal. I'm not at all! saying close yourself off to medicines. What eye am saying is sit with yourself! only YOU are going to know what IS for you and what IS NOT.

As for the physical experience itself of smoking the bufo, because I'm sure that's what so many people clicked on this for, it was very intense and not in a scary way (well for me at least) but it is a very intense medicine, meaning its strong and it will have profound effect on you physically and mentally.

eye decided that whatever the shaman hands me I'm just gonna do my best to hit it as best as eye can, hold my breath for as long as eye feel called. During the experience eye did not know eye was given a full shamanic dose but after was informed. eye smoked what the shaman gave me twice, the 1st hit eye literally hit so hard and big that eye burped out some of the smoke. if you know u know, one of those hit where u inhale so big for some reason some of the smoke goes into you stomach. Well, eye exhaled and did this 3 part lil burp thing as smoke came out of my stomach lol. Immediately he handed the medicine back to me, eye inhaled without question and if eye wasn't already going to have an experience eye was now, holy cow! couldn't even really see my hand as eye handed the medicine back to him the second time. My whole body was starting to vibrate like a peaceful bee buzzing from my lips, to my heart, out to my fingertips.

They start to play music and eye felt called to lay back and breath. Never in my life have eye felt breaths so full. For whatever reason eye just kept breathing sooooo sooooo deep. The whole experience felt so new but also familiar. The feeling was like "where the heck am eye gonna go if eye don't focus on my breath?" because it was making my breath unintentionally feel so different than it ever had before, so deep, so full. eye stayed in observation of my breath the entire time, enjoying my breath and the sand I'm laying on, the music and signing of the shamans. The most memorable was the Moracas being played against the sand, maybe 3 feet away from my head. It reminded me of being here on earth, on the beach, and eye was so great-full for that. It's very etherical, some people report talking to angelic beaings, this did not happen for me but eye did fully go into a space that felt very womb like. That's the feeling that was familiar, felt peacfull and like eye had been there before.

Many many things happened either directly after my experience or months after, that were messages from the Bufo. Immediately after eye was recognizing people on the beach eye had only just met on this medicine retreat, but for some reason now eye felt like eye knew them from different life's, some eye even got flashes or small lil visions of that life together or life's together and that really tripped me out. Some of you are gonna read this and find it so funny but I'm just gonna share bc it IS kinda funny and truly how eye felt.

Words were more difficult than eye thought when eye came back but what eye could muster to some of these now! familar faces was "I'm so sorry, eye thought eye didn't know you. eye didn't know eye knew you and now eye remember!" Hillarius bc some people were like "ya def get where she's coming from, shes seeing visions of past lifes we have lived together" and some poeple were like wtf is this girl talking about. Some even who had tried bufo many times, just never had that experience.

some important tid bits are really how confidently and much of the medicine eye just let enter my body and also being on this intuitive mostly fruit and water fast leading up to the medicine experience. Those two things eye think are VERY important notes to consider when ingesting my story.
